No.KP/05 of 2024/PRHRDD/KRT/E-FILE/14/2023/5544/KH: In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (5) of section 227 read with section 274 of the Gujarat Panchayats Act, 1993 (Guj. 18 of 1993) and in supersession of all the rules made in this behalf, the Government of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules to provide for regulating recruitment to the post of Female Health Worker, Class III, in the superior Panchayat Service, namely:-
1. (1) These rules may be called the Female Health Worker, Class III, in the superior Panchayat Service Recruitment Rules, 2024.
(2) They shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
2. Appointment to the post of Female Health Worker, Class III, in the superior Panchayat Service shall be made by direct selection.
3. To be eligible for appointment by direct selection to the post mentioned in rule 2. a candidate shall,:-
(a) not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years of age:
"Provided that the upper age limit may be relaxed in favour of a candidate who is already in the Gujarat Panchayats Services in accordance with the provisions of the Gujarat Panchayats Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1998; Provided further that the upper age limit may be relaxed in favour of a candidate, who is already in the service of the Government of Gujarat in accordance with the provisions of the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967":
(b) have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination from Secondary and Higher Secondary Examination Board or possess an equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Government, and
(e) (i) have passed the Female Health Worker's basic Training course recognised by the Government, or
(ii) have passed the Auxiliary Nurse Midwife Course, recognised by the Government and have been registered by the Nursing Council;
(d) possess the basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967; and
(e) possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
4. The provisions of rule 10A of the Gujarat Panchayat Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1998 shall be applicable in respect of a candidate appointed by direct selection.
5. The candidate appointed by direct selection shall be required to undergo such training and pass such examination as may be prescribed by the Government.
6. The candidate appointed by direct selection shall be required to furnish a security and a surety bond in such form, for such amount and for such period as may be prescribed by the Government
