DEEP is a Secular, Not-for-Profit, Non Government Organisation promoted by Gujarat Industries Power Company Limited and is being set up for Social Development with the active participation of local communities. 

DEEP operates in 18 villages of Mangrol taluka and 5 villages of Mandvi taluka in Surat District and 6 villages of Valia taluka in Bharuch District. 

DEEP works in close coordination with the local community in areas including Health, Education, Village Infrastructure Development, Livelihood etc. It caters to roughly fifty thousand population within the program area comprising of Minorities, Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Caste and other backward classes. 

DEEP is also operating Mobile Medical Unit for improving health condition of surrounding village. In which, DEEP is providing free diagnosis as well as medicine facilities. Further, DEEP is organising medical camp and eye camp annually.
