Recruitment of Honorary Home Guards Members 6,752 Honorary Home Guards Members are to be recruited at four (04) Commissionerate Areas and twenty-two (22) Districts Units / Zones / Divisions in the State of Gujarat. The recruitment process will be conducted from the District Commandant's office to recruit these Honorary Home Guards members. Candidates who are willing to be recruited should contact their local unit office or district office. These Home Guards members are to be recruited as honorary members. In which Sarkarshree will be called on important duty if needed. When called on duty, they will be entitled to Rs.300/- Duty Allowance and Rs.4/- Washing Allowance per day as Honorary Pay as per the extant Government Rules. The recruitment is not done as a permanent employee. But the Honorary Home Guards members are to be recruited into the Honorary Institute. So no rights as a permanent employee will be available.
Qualification of male candidate for recruitment in Home Guards Force:-
(a) Should be a citizen of India.
(b) Should have educational qualification of standard – 10th pass or above.
(c) Age should be between 18 to 50 years.
(d) Weight should be at least 50 kg.
(f) Height should be minimum 162 cm, chest should be minimum 79 cm, should be able to inflate chest by 5 cm.
(vi) The applicant should not have committed any criminal act. and should not have been punished by any court established by statute in India.
(j) Applicant should not belong to any communal organization and should not have communal background.
Eligibility of Women Candidates to be recruited in Home Guards Force:-
(a) Minimum weight should be – 40 kg in case of female candidate.
(b) Height of female candidates should be minimum 150 cm.
(c) The qualification as mentioned in point number A, B, C, VI and J mentioned in 3(A) shall remain unchanged.
Recruitment Test Details:-
This committee has to organize the physical test of the candidates to be recruited during the recruitment fair. Which will be as follows. In addition each candidate will have to pass the prescribed physical ability test.
Selection criteria as to which candidates to give priority to
The said physical test will be of 75 (seventy five) marks. In the field examination, those who complete the test within the stipulated time will be eligible to get full 75 (seventy five) marks. In addition, citizens possessing the following qualifications who are willing to serve in the Home Guard Force will be given priority.
NCC Candidates having examination certificate will be eligible for additional 05 (five) marks.
Additional 05 (five) marks will be available if certificate / medal is obtained in any sports competition at State level / National level / University level.
Additional 05 (Five) marks will be eligible if having a heavy motor vehicle or light motor vehicle license and having at least two years of driving experience and having a certificate to that effect.
Additional 05 (Five) marks will be available if passed “CCC” exam with computer knowledge.
Additional 05 (Five) marks will be eligible if they have a certificate from a government recognized institution in technical skills such as yoga, mechanical, electrical, office automation, knowledge of automobiles and nursing trade etc.
Physical Test 75 (Seventy Five) Marks and 05 Marks each of Special Qualifications (i) to (v) as mentioned above will be 25 Marks in total. There will be a test of total-100 marks.
“If the number of candidates with same marks is more, further screening process will be conducted. Which will be intimated to the candidates.”
